• Algae Control is a liquid blend of quaternary ammonium compound which prevents growth of algae and fouling in swimming pools, ponds and similar water storing bodies. It is formulated to efficiently metabolize certain forms of Nitrogen and Phosphorous in water, essentially robbing these major nutrients from algae life without affecting other characteristics of the water. This in effect weakens and ruptures algae cell walls, which eventually die and turn brown. At this point reaction with components of Rochem Algae Control consumes or degrades the cell residues, thus leaving clear water. Rochem Algae control is non-hazardous, non-toxic, non-corrosive and non-flammable.
