Rochem Sludge Breaker

DESCRIPTION 

 

Rochem Sludge Breaker has been formulated specifically as a precombustion treatment to meet the requirement for a highly active liquid compound which rapidly dissolves and fluidizes sludge wax gum and tar formations while effectively separating water from residual fuel oils

 Rochem Sludge Breaker keeps storage tanks free from sludge and stable emulsions thus maintaining effective tank capacity  Rochem Sludge Breaker saves oil that would normally be discarded as sludge  Rochem Sludge Breaker eliminates plugging of suction lines and filters  It breaks waterinoil emulsions by lowering the surface tension between the two phases  Centrifugal separation of catalyst fines is improved reducing abrasion damage    Neutralizes fuel acids  Reduces corrosion in fuel tanks and lines 

 

TECHNICAL REVIEW 

 

Unstable residues in crude oil and fuel oils settle out in storage in various wax and gum formations  Additionally some residues polymerize trapping water thus forming stable emulsions  These residues and emulsions reduce effective tank capacity   Rochem Sludge Breaker attacks these various residues and emulsions liquifies them and disperses them through out the storage tank When the emulsion is broken up the entrained water separates to the bottom of the tank for easy removal  At the same time Rochem Sludge Breaker reduces the surface and interfacial tension of the crude or fuel oil thus stabilising it in storage and preventing reformation of the sludge 

 

APPLICATION and DOSAGE 

 

Rochem Sludge Breaker is applied directly to the tanks requiring treatment Maintaining tank contents and  Sludge Breaker at 30C or above produces even better results Dosage varies from 1 Litre per 1 ton to 4 Litres per 1 ton depending on the type of sludge viscosity and amount of water contamination and the condition of the tank  Start with a dosage of 1 Litre per ton tank capacity on a clean tank to 4 Litres per ton capacity on a tank containing sludge 

 

HANDLING PRECAUTIONS 

 

Care should be taken not to get this product in your eyes or in repeated or prolonged contact with the skin  In case of accidental contact with skin or eyes immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes  Wash contaminated clothing before reuse
